FAQs
What size bin do I need?
This depends on the amount of waste you are disposing of. A general guide is that a 7.5 cubic metre walk in bin equates to 8 6x4 trailers, and a 15 cubic metre walk in bin equates to 16 6x4 trailers or the volume of 3 standard size elephants.
How long can I have the bin?
Generally 5 days, longer or shorter rental can be arranged.
What can I put in the bin?
Yes – Both 7.5 and 15m walk in bins have weight limits of up to 10,000kg.
When and how can I pay?
All payments are to be made on or before delivery. This can be done by EFT, credit card over the phone or payment to the driver on delivery. The contents of the walk in bins remain the property of the customer until full payment is made. We do not accept personal checks.
How big are the bins?
The 7.5 cubic metre walk in bin is 4.5 metres long, 2 metres wide and 1 metre tall. It holds 7.5 cubic metres of rubbish in volume. Where can the walk in bin go?
Most of the time the bin is delivered onto your driveway, a minimum driveway width of 2.6 metres is required and a length of up to 18 metres of driveway and road is required; this includes the room for the bin and the truck.
If you need the bin placed on your street you will need to contact your local council for approval, this may take a few days. Signal requires written permission from the council faxed to the office before the bin can be delivered.
How high can I fill the bin?
You can fill the bin to water level only. If the bin is overfull the operator may remove or require you as the customer to remove some of the material so that it is safe to transport.
